Mandarin 100% (Citrus madurensis)

The Mandarin tree is botanically related to the orange tree, growing slightly smaller, still sporting the similar glossy leaves. Similar to the other Citrus family oils Mandarin essential oil is extracted by cold pressing the peel of the fruit. The oil has a golden hue, with undertones of a blue-violet colour. Scent: Intensely sweet, fruity, floral-citrus scent This oil is phototoxic and causes skin burn when exposed to bright sunlight or UV disco lighting.

Aromatherapy claims are for treatment of acne, babies' colic and hiccups, children's ailments, congested skin, fluid retention, insomnia, morning sickness, obesity, oily skin, restlessness, scars, spots, stress, stretch marks, synergy combinations and a toner.
